Job summary

Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to serve as the frontline support for internal teams across our locations. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, set up new workstations, and coordinate with vendors to keep users productive.

The role emphasizes clear communication, organization, and calm problem solving in a fast-paced environment. Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, on-site at our Illinois operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience or combination of professional and academic experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Windows-based environments, operating systems, applications, troubleshooting, and networking.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel for on-site tech support at other TCI locations.

Responsibilities

• Answer and resolve 1st- and 2nd-tier support tickets.
• Work with outside vendors on tickets and project-related tasks.
• Set up workstations with computers, peripherals, and required software.
• Test hardware to confirm functionality and install software and security applications.
• Provide on-site support as needed to minimize downtime and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with IT team members, users, and vendors to resolve issues quickly.
