Job summary

MV Transportation seeks an IT Help Desk Support based in Seattle to provide desktop, server, networking, and Trapeze software support within a transit environment. This role requires handling SLA-driven tickets and delivering reliable IT services across the organization.

You will support MDT/in-vehicle devices, manage local servers, and collaborate with client IT teams on projects, cost controls, and strategic IT initiatives. Proactive communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be highly proficient with Trapeze transit software and related applications.
• Proficient with Active Directory and networking.
• Familiar with cloud computing, server virtualization, and ADCs.
• Strong understanding of computers, servers, networks, printers and peripherals.
• Experience supporting Windows 10-11, Server 2012/2016 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide Trapeze software direction, desktop/server/network support per SLA.
• Support analog, digital, or VOIP telephone systems, T-1, fax and DSL lines.
• Support MDT/in-vehicle tablets and Trapeze reservation software.
• Manage local division servers; domain controller, file, application and database.
• Report to client agencies with status updates.
• Interact with client IT departments.
• Manage complex IT projects, IT staff and vendors.
• Develop IT investment plans weighing costs, benefits and risks.
• Control costs; maintain documentation for IT operations and software development.

Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking Seattle-basedIT Help Desk Support.

This individual shall be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The IT Help Desk Support is responsible for handling various technology issues related to a transit environment and supporting corporate infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing Trapeze software direction,desktop, server and network support for client operations according to Service Level Agreements (SLA). This includes, but not limited to, desktop and server repair, network maintenance, helpdesk tickets, disaster recovery and other projects as assigned.
• Support of analog, Digital, or VOIP telephone System, T-1, fax and DSL lines.
• Responsible for supporting local technologies related to transit operations, such as; Mobile Data Terminals (MDT)/in vehicle tablets, andTrapezereservation software platform.
• Manage servers at local division; domain controller, file, application and database (MS SQL SVR).
• Meet and interact with client agencies providing reports and updates for local divisional office.

• Close interaction with the client’s IT department.
• Managing complex IT projects, IT employees and outside vendors.
• Developing strategic operations and investment plans that weight costs, benefits, opportunities and risks of various IT investment approaches.
• Controlling and minimize costs.Ensuring suitable documentation exists and is maintained for IT operations and software development.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• Highly proficient with Trapeze transit software, and other transportation related applications is a MUST.
• Proficiency with Active Directory and networking.
• Proficient with the company's major IT systems, services and technology frameworks (e.g. cloud computing, server virtualization, application delivery controller, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of computers, servers, network, printer and peripheral hardware.
• Experience supporting Windows 10-11, Server 2012 & 16, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in desktop imaging methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience with desktop, desktop imaging, server and network management tools.
• Experience with basic network devices including switches.
• Familiar with backup and disaster recovery.

Starting Pay Rate: $37.80 - $40.95/hour
