Job summary

Harris American in Baxley, GA is seeking an IT Associate to provide frontline help desk support for employees. This in-person role covers desktop, software, printer, and network issues, with a focus on clear communication and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

Associate degree in information technology or related field preferred.
1–3 years of help desk, desktop support, technical support, or customer service experience preferred.
Experience with a help desk or ticketing system is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, chat, walk-up, or tickets.
Log, categorize, prioritize, and track requests in the ticketing system.
Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, printer, network, login, email, and app issues.
Provide remote and in-person support to employees at multiple locations.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff while owning the ticket until resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps and solutions.
