Job summary

The Nebraska State Patrol is seeking an IT Help Desk Coordinator for the SOS Temporary Program in Lincoln, NE. This inhouse staffing role triages help tickets, supports calls and emails, and manages agency-specific software with a focus on security compliance and documentation.

Responsibilities include software deployments, knowledge base updates in SharePoint, and coordinating downtime to avoid business disruption. Regular background screening is required and federal sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• One year of post high school coursework or vocational/technical training in IT, data processing operations, information technology, MIS, or network/telecom systems.
• One year of experience installing/using software or operating data processing systems, or teaching others in these applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and provide support for agency-specific software.
• Document installation processes and resolutions to common issues.
• Escalate issues to NSP IT personnel as needed.
