Job summary

Synchron, LLC is seeking an IT Help Desk Analyst to support the Navy Undersea Warfare Program at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The role focuses on delivering IT customer service, device management, and problem resolution for SIPR/NIPR and NMCI environments.

The ideal candidate has DoD/DoW SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and at least one year of IT experience, with strong communication and analytical skills to support busy government operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide IT customer service and support to Navy personnel.
• Maintain inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) incl. computers and mobile devices.
• Test network ports and connectivity; assist NMCI and Flank Speed related issues.
• Analyze computer systems, programs, and planning activities.
• Escalate issues to NMCI when beyond capability.
• Issue mobile devices to Team Sub personnel and manage passes.
• Coordinate iPhone Purebred services migration into Flank Speed.
• Prepare, update, and process property passes for IT equipment.
• Support help desk calls including SIPR/NIPR related issues.

IT Help Desk Analyst - Navy Undersea Warfare Program Support

Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an IT Help Desk Analysts to support U.S. Navy’s Team Submarine staff and program offices at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. We are seeking candidates to provide the US Navy with excellent information technology customer service support.

Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of computer science principles, information management principles, automated data processing functions, information technology engineering, hardware and software systems' structures and operation, and computer programming languages and techniques to solve problems.
• Tasks may include;

• Maintaining an inventory list of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to include computers, iPhones and iPads
• Make recommendations to the Government to ensure GFE inventory is adequate to meet the urgent needs of the TEAM SUB Enterprise
• Test ports for connectivity
• Analysis of computer systems, programs, and/or planning activities
• Provided direct support for help desk calls, to include SIPR/NIPR issues, Flank Speed transition, coordinating NMCI support, and iPhone related issues
• Support migration of iPhone Purebred services into FLANKSPEED environment
• Issue mobile devices to Team Sub personnel
• Prepare, update, and process property passes for personnel and IT equipment
• Escalate troubleshooting issues to NMCI when above your capability

Education and Experience Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Active DoD/DoW SECRETClearance
• Active Security + Certification
• Minimum one year of IT experience (three years preferred)
• Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills for both technical and business-related matters
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management

Work Location: Washington Navy Yard. Limited telework options (less than one day per week).

Travel: potential for travel (less than 5%)
