Job summary

Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations in Onalaska, WI seeks a Hands-On Hardware & Production Specialist to work with IT hardware, servers, networking gear, Apple devices, and other electronics in a fast-paced production environment.

This is not a traditional IT helpdesk role; you’ll test, diagnose, and process equipment, document results, and contribute to continuous improvement while meeting production goals. The position offers a competitive hourly wage, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware.
  • Knowledge of computer refurbishing and repair processes.
  • Knowledge of networking equipment, servers, Apple devices, and other IT hardware components.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Advanced computer operation skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes and equipment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Process IT hardware and other production material according to defined procedures while consistently achieving production goals.
  • Work with complex IT equipment, including Apple devices, servers, networking equipment, and miscellaneous electronics.
  • Verify customer requirements and use hand tools and software programs to accurately process and track material.
  • Perform advanced IT hardware diagnostics to identify, analyze, and resolve complex hardware issues.
  • Document and maintain production results using ERP systems, worksheets, and other software applications.
  • Evaluate equipment and processes with an understanding of how time, resources, and product value impact profitability.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to your work by supporting and championing positive changes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within your areas of expertise when appropriate.
  • Flex into Sort Technician and Refurbishing Technician processes as business needs arise.

Job description

Hands-On Hardware & Production Role – Not an IT Support Position

Work Location: Onalaska, WI

Compensation: $22.75 - $27.00/hour (dependent upon experience), wage increase eligible twice annually

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm | No mandatory overtime, nights, or weekends!

What You'll Do

If you enjoy getting hands-on with computers, servers, networking equipment, Apple devices, and other electronics, this could be a great fit. This is a specialized production technician role where you'll use your technical aptitude and knowledge of IT hardware to test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and process a variety of electronic equipment.

This is not a traditional IT position. You won't be working a help desk or providing end-user IT support. Instead, you'll work hands-on with IT hardware in a fast-paced, rate-based warehouse and production environment.

In this role, you'll:
  • Process IT hardware and other production material according to defined procedures while consistently achieving production goals
  • Work with complex IT equipment, including Apple devices, servers, networking equipment, and miscellaneous electronics

What Your Work Environment Will Be Like
  • Fast-paced, rate-based warehouse and production environment

  • Standing for the duration of the shift
  • Continuously exerting up to 20 pounds of force
  • Occasionally lifting or exerting up to 50 pounds of force
  • Regular use of basic hand tools
