Job summary

Sprout in Garland, Texas, is seeking an IT Hardware Technician to evaluate, test, and de-manufacture electronic equipment while rigorously following quality and safety standards.

You will manage data erasure, maintain precise inventory records, and coordinate with teammates to ensure smooth workflow transitions in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. CompTIA A+ or similar certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in ITAD, electronics recycling, or related field.
• Experience with testing tools and diagnostic software.
• Familiarity with IT hardware components.
• Knowledge of data erasure standards (NIST 800-88, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities

• Sort and evaluate electronic equipment (CPUs, GPUs, RAM, HDDs, SSDs, mobiles).
• Maintain accurate records using scan guns and manual entries.
• Test components and sub-assemblies for faults.
• Perform data erasure following standardized protocols.
• De-manufacture devices into components per guidelines.
• Track inventory precisely within the workspace.
• Ensure clean, hazard-free and safety-compliant operations.
• Coordinate with teammates for smooth workflow transitions.
