Job summary

N.F. Smith & Associates, L.P. is seeking an IT hardware technician to stage, test, repair, and catalogue electronic components such as servers and network equipment.

You will erase data from devices and reset them to factory specs for inbound products while maintaining ESD and quality standards. Responsibilities include updating purchase orders, meeting deadlines, and generating reports for the Operations supervisor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco).
• Willingness to work overtime, up to 6 hours per week, as needed.
• Experience handling electronic hardware in a teardown/repair environment.

Responsibilities

• Stage, organize, and process purchase orders in the Teardown area.
• Organize, test, troubleshoot, repair, and catalogue electronic hardware (servers, workstations, network equipment, computers, spare parts).
• Erase data from storage devices and reset devices to factory specifications on inbound products.
• Provide updates on purchase orders and meet project deadlines with status reports to Operations.
• Adhere to ESD, quality, safety, environmental and recycling policies; support other departments as needed.
