Job summary

TEKsystems in Holdrege, NE seeks an entry-level IT infrastructure professional for a contract-to-hire role. You will participate in design with sales and engineering teams and resolve a wide range of 2nd/3rd line end-user issues, including workstations, software, hardware, networking, and VPN.

The position requires Windows Server experience, virtualization, SAN, VOIP, firewall and cloud skills (Office 365, Azure, AWS) plus AD/DNS/DHCP proficiency. On-call rotation is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Build out multiple Windows server versions from scratch and support them.
• Hands-on with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS).
• Experience deploying SAN solutions and VOIP phone systems.
• Experience with firewalls, switches, and managed wireless solutions.
• Cloud computing experience including Office 365, Azure and AWS.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP and DNS.
• Strong routing and networking understanding and Exchange/terminal servers expertise.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design of solutions with sales and engineering teams.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve 2nd/3rd line end-user issues (workstations, software, hardware, network, VPN).
• Set up, maintain, and manage client Windows Server, cloud, and network environments.
• Create and maintain customer documentation and manage expectations.
• Be an advocate for customer needs and participate in on-call rotation.
