Job summary

The Intersect Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst for an on-site role to lead budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and financial analysis of IT operating and capital expenses. You will build and maintain budgets and models, evaluate IT investments, track projects, and partner with IT leaders to provide actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and financial modeling.
• Experience managing large or complex departmental budgets.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for IT operating and capital expenses.
• Analyze monthly results, variances, headcount, risks, and spending opportunities.
• Build and maintain detailed budgets and financial models for technology departments.
• Evaluate business cases for IT investments, including cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
• Track technology projects against budgets, commitments, and expected benefits.
• Support project capitalization and monthly accruals with the Fixed Assets team.
• Partner with IT leaders and project managers to provide actionable financial insights.
• Present monthly financial analysis and recommendations to Finance and IT leadership.
