Job summary

Sheehan Family Companies in Kingston, MA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to diagnose and resolve software issues, support VIP Route Accounting and warehouse systems, and assist with business applications such as Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace and AD. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (College Transcripts required).
• 3 years of IT industry experience.
• Excellent customer support, communication and service skills.
• Experience with Windows operating systems in a business environment.
• Experience in consumer distribution systems preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite & Google Workspace.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting, mobile device management platforms, and Active Directory.
• Support includes off-hours accessibility on a rotating schedule.
• Overnight travel to remote sites as needed.
• Knowledgeable about emerging technologies and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software issues, system errors, and general computer problems.
• Provide support for VIP Route Accounting System (VIP).
• Support warehouse management systems and operations tech including iPhones, iPads, and Voice Pick equipment.
• Support Sales Applications, Sales Reporting, Connect.
• Support additional company software including Microsoft Suite, Omnitracs, Nexus, UKG and other regularly used apps.
• Refer major hardware or software problems to vendors or technicians and install minor repairs.
• Understand servers and network components; troubleshoot and know when to escalate.
• Set up employees’ system access, email access and user security within software.
• Assist with projects, develop project plans and communicate with stakeholders.
• Capable of self-learning using vendor materials and company knowledge base.
• Train employees on the use of applications and tools.
• Travel to remote sites to offer support and project leadership.
• Maintain a professional, service-driven disposition with end users.
