Job summary

Haviland Broadband seeks an IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical assistance to business clients. The role combines remote and on-site troubleshooting, device setup, and client communication to resolve Level 1 issues within defined SLAs.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of IT support experience, familiarity with Windows, 365, basic networking, and ticketing systems. A valid driver’s license is required for on-site visits in the Haviland area.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma at minimum with preferred IT degree or coursework.
• 1–2 years IT support experience, preferably in field service or MSP environment.
• IT certifications such as cybersecurity, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Networking are recommended.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for client technical issues.
• Respond to service requests via tickets, phone, and email; diagnose Level 1 issues.
• Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and basic networks.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and standard business applications.
• Document support activity and manage hardware/software inventory.
