Job summary

St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston seeks an IT Field Services Specialist to deliver on-site and remote technical support for end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software, and ensure optimal system performance.

You will install and configure desktops, printers, mobile devices, and network hardware, with basic Avaya telephony work, maintenance, upgrades, and user training. Travel to client sites is required, and after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

An associate degree or higher in IT or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
1–3 years in IT support, field services, or a similar role.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified are preferred.

Responsibilities

On-site and remote technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Install and configure IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network gear.
Basic Avaya phone installation and troubleshooting.
Perform preventive maintenance, software updates, and system upgrades.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware/software malfunctions.
Provide user support and training on systems and applications.
Assist in basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
Maintain accurate documentation, asset inventory, and service reports.
Collaborate with IT Service Desk, infrastructure teams, and vendors for escalations.
Follow IT security policies and compliance requirements.
