Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited seeks a FSO Technician to provide deskside and field IT support for clinicians and business users in Austin. You will deploy devices, resolve incidents, manage assets, and deliver on-site technical assistance to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include imaging, deployment, device/configuration, mobile support, and ITSM ticket handling with ServiceNow. Occasional after-hours on-call and adherence to ITIL and healthcare security are required.

Qualifications

• Deskside/field IT support experience in healthcare or similar settings.
• Strong Windows 10/11 and macOS support knowledge.
• Familiar with ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing systems.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in clinical environments.
• Able to lift and move IT equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside and remote support for Windows and macOS laptops/desktops.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Google Workspace / O365 / collaboration tools.
• Image, stage, deploy devices and perform post-deployment validation.
• Configure and troubleshoot end-user devices and peripherals.
• Support mobile devices (iOS/Android) and basic MDM.
• Diagnose hardware/OS/application issues.
• Manage tickets in ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool.
• Follow ITIL processes for incidents, requests, assets.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding (accounts, devices, access).
• Maintain asset updates in the asset management system.
• Perform stockroom organization and asset tagging.
• Coordinate depot/vendor repairs and warranty replacements.
• Adhere to security policies and healthcare compliance.
• Participate in rotational on-call and after-hours support.
