Job summary

NV Energy is seeking an IT Enterprise Technician I to provide technical support for desktops, servers, peripherals, and telecommunications across the Nevada network. You will handle incidents, perform system administration tasks, and contribute to testing, documentation, and communication for IT initiatives.

Requirements include a two-year IT or CS degree (or equivalent experience), plus demonstrated problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with on-call

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent.
• Typically two years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates without a bachelor's degree.
• Microsoft certified systems administrator within 12 months of hire or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated aptitude in moderate problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in response to end-users' inquiries regarding technology issues.
• Use incident management database and technology resource center systems.
• Support most end point devices of the network.
• Provide training/presentations to end-users on various aspects of technology.
• Create and present reports to management regarding department metrics.
