Job summary

LCWSD is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Director to lead the strategic planning, implementation, operation, security, and management of all IT systems supporting LCWSD operations.

The role requires overseeing technical support, onboarding, device deployment, VPN/MFA, Office 365, and coordination with vendors and law enforcement for network monitoring. Strong leadership, communication, and security expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field with at least 5 years of IT admin experience.
• Ability to manage network operations and vendor contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for PCs, monitors, printers, phones, and mobile devices.
• Manages onboarding, access badges, and device provisioning.
• Plans, procures, deploys, and refreshes PCs on a scheduled cycle.
• Manages mobile devices, VPN setups, MFA, and device security.
• Creates Office 365 and user accounts; configures business apps on devices.
• Oversees network operations and coordinates with vendors.
• Keeps technology documents, SSL certificates, and maintenance agreements up to date.
• Reviews vendor contracts for technology assets and services.
• Assesses technology risks and recovery/backup procedures.
• Monitors cyber security threats and educates users on best practices.
• Coordinates with SLED for network monitoring; supports website administration.
