Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Director to oversee strategic planning, implementation, operation, security, and management of all IT systems supporting LCWSD operations.

The role requires leadership across IT infrastructure, policy development, and cybersecurity, with responsibility for onboarding, device provisioning, and vendor relations. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT administration experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field with 5+ years of experience in administration of information systems and technology (preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of information technology and its practical applications in supporting LCWSD’s technology infrastructure and organizational goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to travel to and work in and around treatment facilities, pump stations, elevated tank sites, and administrative facilities.
• Professional certifications and technical training within related fields are preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support and troubleshooting for all employees related to PCs, monitors, printers, phones, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Follows up on outstanding IT requests and ensures timely resolution.
• Creates new user accounts, issues access badges and key fobs as part of onboarding.
• Plan, procure, deploy, and replace PCs on a scheduled refresh cycle.
• Issues all mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, and cell phones with setup of devices and security configurations.
• Creates Microsoft Office 365 and iPhone accounts for each user.
• Installs, configures, and maintains required business applications and device-specific software on all wireless devices.
• Manage network operations to include troubleshooting connectivity problems and coordination with third party vendors.
• Reviews and renews vendor contracts related to technology assets.
• Evaluates technology risks to determine recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Monitors and responds to cyber security threats and potential breaches.
• Educates end users regarding security threats and best practices.
