Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Change Management Engineer to design, implement and govern ITIL-aligned change processes in a highly regulated federal IT environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating requests, conducting impact and risk assessments, and ensuring changes are approved, scheduled, implemented and reviewed to minimize disruption while maintaining compliance and auditability. Collaboration with operations, cybersecurity, and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of ITIL-based ITSM experience, including change management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL change management and auditability.
• Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders to minimise disruption and ensure proper documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with risk mitigation focus.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change management workflows.
• Evaluate change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and scheduling.
• Chair or support change advisory board meetings and track actions for complex changes.
• Use ITSM tools (ServiceNow) to log, track and report changes with audit trails.
• Develop and maintain change management policies, templates and communications.
• Monitor KPIs and recommend tooling and process improvements.
• Collaborate with project, operations and security teams to integrate controls into release management.
• Provide training on ITIL change practices and ITSM tooling.
