Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Category/Sourcing Manager to manage IT category strategy across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and services. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal and business stakeholders to optimize lifecycle costs and mitigate vendor risks.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled solutions, licensing models, and cloud cost optimization, with hybrid WA-based work arrangements. Interview talks will cover work specifics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, supply management, business administration, engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 5-7+ years in strategic planning, source-to-pay, procurement governance, spend analytics, category management, or supplier management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate value-generating IT category projects based on complexity, resources, risk, time to implement, and estimated financial impact.
• Manage prioritized portfolio of projects for the category in the near and long term.
• Develop IT category roadmaps informed by technology demand, supplier concentration, product lifecycle and end-of-support risks, market benchmarks, and changing software licensing and AI monetization models.
• Lead the supplier selection and RFx award process. Develop different award optimization scenarios to ensure risk is mitigated and optimization of total delivered cost is achieved.
