Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Category/Sourcing Manager to lead IT category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier governance. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal and Security to optimize technology investments, licenses, and contractual terms while managing risk and lifecycle costs.

The role requires 5–7+ years in procurement roles, strong negotiation skills, and experience with SaaS, cloud services and AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, supply management, business administration, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
5–7+ years in strategic planning, source-to-pay, spend analytics, category management or strategic sourcing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong written/verbal communication skills.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

Category Management: evaluate value-generating projects, manage project portfolios and monitor market dynamics.
Strategic Sourcing: define sourcing strategy, establish pricing methodologies and KPIs for projects.
Sourcing Event Execution: document RFx processes, lead supplier negotiations and ensure total cost optimization.
Supplier Relationship Management: manage supplier base and monitor license utilization and business value.
