Job summary

ADS, Inc. is seeking a Category Manager for Information Technology (IT) to lead revenue growth within the IT category. The role focuses on strategic planning, negotiations, and channel partnerships across OEMs, distributors, and VARs to drive profitability and market share.

The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute plans requiring extensive travel and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with government contracts is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; military experience may substitute.
• 5 years of US Government contracting and acquisition experience.
• 2 years in business development and/or program management.
• Extensive IT supplier network knowledge (OEMs, distribution channels, VARs).
• 3+ years' proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willing to travel 50-75% (2-3 weeks of every month).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms with suppliers to maximize margin.
• Identify new vendors and assess partnerships.
• Maintain relationships with vendor community and convey ADS value proposition.
• Support ADS sales representatives and customer meetings for IT sales.
• Develop and present annual supplier plans and quarterly reviews.
• Update CRM with important supplier information.
