Job summary

ADS, Inc. is seeking a Category Manager – Information Technology (IT) to drive revenue growth across its IT supplier network and ADS sales channels. The role emphasizes strategic planning, negotiations, and execution, covering Enterprise Networking, Data Storage, Compute, End User Devices, AV, software, and AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; US Military experience may substitute.
• 5 years' experience with US Government contracting and acquisition.
• 2 years' experience in business development and/or program management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms with new and existing suppliers to maximize margins.
• Identify new vendors and assess viability for partnerships; travel to vendor facilities.
• Maintain deep relationships with vendor community and ADS value proposition.
• Support ADS sales representatives and customer meetings for IT sales.
• Understand competitive landscape for the category; both customer and vendor facing.
• Create and execute sales initiatives bringing value and margin to ADS.”
• Develop and present annual supplier and sales plans; review quarterly.
• Create and execute vendor plans for top-tier suppliers including QBRs.
• Update CRM with supplier information and insights.
• Develop long term plan for category growth; engage in deal strategy and negotiations.
• Log all sales activity in CRM; understand existing contracts.
• Support planning, logistics, and execution of ADS events and tradeshows.
