System One in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Procurement/Category Manager IT to develop category strategies and drive end-to-end sourcing initiatives. You will lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and manage performance while coordinating with IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align sourcing with business needs.

The role emphasizes contract lifecycle support, risk mitigation, and standardization using tools like SAP Ariba, with a strong focus on value delivery across cost, risk, and service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT procurement or IT sourcing experience.
• Experience running sourcing events and negotiating supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of contract fundamentals and supplier performance management.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP and e-sourcing tools (SAP Ariba preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and execute category strategies that deliver total value (cost, risk, service, innovation).
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives (RFP/RFQ/RFI), supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, and benchmarking to identify opportunities.
• Partner cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align sourcing with business needs.
• Support contract lifecycle management (terms, renewals, compliance checkpoints) and smooth handoffs to operational teams.
• Identify and elevate supplier and continuity risks; recommend mitigation plans.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardized tools and best practices (e.g., SAP Ariba).
