Job summary

STLabs India is seeking an experienced Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students through IT courses and career paths. You will assess goals, explain curricula, durations, and fees, and convert leads into admissions.

The role involves handling inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, and online meetings, maintaining a robust CRM pipeline, and meeting admission targets in a supportive, work-from-home environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in academic counselling, education sales, inside sales, or EdTech.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong convincing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of IT courses and career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students regarding IT courses, career paths, and training programs.
• Understand students' career goals, educational background, and requirements.
• Provide accurate information about courses, curriculum, duration, fees, and career opportunities.
• Handle inbound and outbound leads and convert qualified leads into admissions.
• Conduct counselling sessions through phone calls, WhatsApp, and online meetings.
• Follow up with prospective students regularly and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Achieve assigned admission and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate lead and follow-up details in the CRM.
• Coordinate with trainers and the admissions team when required.
• Build strong relationships with students and parents throughout the admission process.
• Stay updated with current IT industry trends, technologies, and career opportunities.
