Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking an IT Business Process Improvement Lead for a 12-month contract at our NYC office (Hybrid). The role oversees policy development, controls, and IT communications, collaborating with executive offices to implement risk-mitigating documents and programs.

The ideal candidate will bring Lean Six Sigma expertise, extensive BPM experience with MS Visio, and strong communication, leadership, and project management skills to drive process improvements across IT functions.

Qualifications

• Preferred Lean Six Sigma Green Belt & Black Belt certifications.
• Experience in Business Process Modelling with MS Visio is required.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 or higher.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher.
• Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
• Self-starter who can independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with creating SOPs and documenting key process requirements.
• General Knowledge of public mass transit assets & operations.
• Expert Knowledge of lean methods, waste elimination, 5S, TPM, flow, and error proofing.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis and value stream mapping.
• Led Kaizen or CI events and implemented lean techniques.

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE CONSULTANT TO WORK 3 DAYS ONSITE & 2 DAYS REMOTE

Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies, procedures, internal controls and audits within MTA's IT Department. This includes review of existing items that may need to be revised or rescinded (e.g., asset policy and procedures), as well as identification of any new polices, procedures, or controls needed to appropriately evaluate, mitigate, and manage business risk. This role collaborates with the Executive Offices to develop and issue these documents as needed. This position will develop IT communications programs for MTA and IT staff based on themes and take the necessary steps to deliver and measure the success of such programs.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

• Preferred certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt & Black Belt from an accredited institution or training company.
• Years of experience in Business Process Modelling (& management) with MS Visio is required.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 or higher
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
• Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
