Job summary

Ball State University seeks a Business Operations Analyst to provide advanced financial, operational, and systems analysis for IT operations in Muncie, IN. You will improve budgeting, procurement, enterprise billing, HR actions, vendor and contract administration, and reporting through automation and dashboards.

This role requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and cross‑functional collaboration with IT, Finance, HR, and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field; Excel skills required.
• Three years of experience in business or financial management; Banner Finance/Jaggaer experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement lifecycle, including requisitions, POs, invoicing, and vendor communications.
• Process Banner journal vouchers, budget transfers, and reconcile FOAPAL activity.
• Audit HR actions, postings, and changes; coordinate with HR/Payroll for timely processing.
• Administer enterprise billing processes; ensure accuracy of feeds before Banner upload.
• Develop automated reconciliation models and dashboards to improve transparency.
• Support month-end/year-end closes, billing audits, and grant reporting.
