Job summary

SMC in Noblesville, Indiana seeks an Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst to analyze and enhance business processes, evaluate data in enterprise apps, and partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve performance and efficiency.

You will gather requirements, create process flows and documentation, develop dashboards and reports, support testing, training, change management, and post-implementation reviews of technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, CS, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1+ years of experience supporting business processes through data analysis and technology solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise applications and business systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating reports, documentation, and process workflows.
• Basic understanding of ITSM principles or ITIL foundations.
• Familiarity with SaaS technologies and platforms such as Microsoft 365, MFA, Identity Management, and ITSM tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and enterprise application data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate root cause analysis of process and system-related problems.
• Develop corrective action recommendations and support implementation efforts.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
• Develop and maintain business and technical documentation.
• Create process flows, user documentation, training materials, and work instructions.
• Support policy and procedure development and version control.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports to support business and IT decision-making.
• Monitor operational performance, service effectiveness, and customer feedback.
• Analyze data to support strategic and operational initiatives.
• Collaborate with business partners, project teams, vendors, and end users.
• Support testing, training, change management, and solution adoption activities.
• Assist with implementation and post-deployment reviews of technology solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and technology initiatives.
• Assist with IT administrative functions including: Asset management, Software licensing, Lifecycle management, Technology governance activities.
• Support compliance, documentation, and operational standards.
