Job summary

Vernovis, a Dayton-area technology services firm, is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support enterprise systems, improve processes, and drive adoption of key applications. You will work with business and IT stakeholders to document requirements and translate them into functional specifications and process documentation.

The role focuses on optimizing workflows across ERP, HRIS, and other enterprise systems, with hands-on involvement in UAT, testing, and change management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, or IT-focused roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Data, Business, or related field; or associate degree with relevant certifications.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating into functional documentation or system improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve processes.
• Experience with ERP/HRIS/enterprise systems; proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel; Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
• Analyze and optimize workflows across enterprise applications and processes.
• Translate needs into functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Support enterprise platforms through implementation, enhancements, testing, and improvements.
• Coordinate software releases, integrations, and change management across business teams.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and end-user training.
• Create and maintain documentation including process flows, training materials, release notes, and knowledge articles.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting, and automation using Microsoft technologies.
