Job summary

SmartSource is seeking a dedicated Information Technology and Audio Visual Field Service Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. You will install, configure, and service IT and AV equipment at client sites and events, diagnosing issues and performing hardware repairs to keep systems operational.

Daily duties include responding to service requests, coordinating equipment logistics with internal teams, and maintaining accurate documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical support skills, including customer-facing service and issue resolution.
• Hands-on experience with desktop computers and related hardware installation and configuration.
• Proficiency in printer support, including setup, maintenance, and basic network connectivity.
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostics abilities for IT and AV equipment.
• Experience with computer repair, component replacement, and hardware testing.
• Familiarity with audio visual systems such as projectors, displays, and video walls is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site at client locations, often in fast-paced event or office environments.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and asset tracking.
