Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician to support customers at client sites in the Dallas area. You will partner with customers, management, and helpdesk teams to deliver world-class AV experiences.

You will perform preventative maintenance, install, configure, and troubleshoot complex AV systems, and provide training on equipment. A high school diploma and strong tools/AV tech skills are required, with expected travel to various sites.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with employees, customers, and colleagues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Advanced computer knowledge (WIN/Mac).
• Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control.
• Valid Driver’s License and MVR meeting AVI-SPL standards.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends.
• Able to climb ladders and lift equipment.
• White Glove service for executives.
• Strong troubleshooting across AV and networking systems.
• Customer service orientation for corporate clients.
• Proficient in Logitech systems setup and troubleshooting.
• Extron NAV deployments and troubleshooting experience.
• Crestron system setup and troubleshooting.
• Networking: LAN/WAN and VLANs.
• Q-SYS, Logitech, Biamp, Extron NAV experience.
• UC platforms: Teams, Zoom, Webex.
• Video/AV: Tricaster, PTZ cameras, DMX lighting.

Responsibilities

• Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet event needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment works as designed and test/repair hardware components.
• Clean AV equipment including lenses, monitors, and fans.
• Document site work and provide client training on AV tech as needed.
• Perform support tasks including meeting setups, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support.
• Collaborate professionally with internal/external teams reflecting AVI-SPL values.
• Adhere to local safety standards for site duties.
• Setup, operate and troubleshoot AV systems.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required.
