Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an IT Audit Coordinator (Systems Analyst V) to coordinate, monitor, and report on IT audits for HHS system IT organizations. You will assess findings, track corrective actions, and liaise with SAO, OIG, and federal agencies for audit information.

With at least 2 years in IT audits, you will work under limited supervision to improve audit monitoring processes and ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met, while coordinating

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience working with IT audits at a state agency or large organization.
• Experience drafting and editing detailed status reports on projects or audits.
• Experience with Information Technology audits and knowledge of IT general controls preferred.
• Knowledge of IT risks, and ability to communicate findings clearly to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and tracks audit activities and corrective action plans.
• Manages audits from internal and external entities and reports on corrective actions.
• Maintains status of corrective actions in audit recording systems.
• Serves as liaison between IT, business areas, internal audit and external entities.
• Coordinates communications for audits and represents IT during audit meetings.
• Supports continuous process improvement in HHS IT audit responses.
• Prepares required state and federal audit documentation and presentations.
• Escalates issues arising from meetings and workgroups as needed.
