Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an IT Audit Coordinator (Systems Analyst V) to coordinate, monitor, record, and report audits from internal and external entities. You will analyze audit findings, track corrective actions, and communicate with SAO, OIG, and other agencies to ensure timely responses.

You will work under limited supervision, coordinating with the IT Audit Coordination Manager to implement improvements and maintain audit processes across HHS IT.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT requirements and issues within HHS IT efforts.
• Familiarity with standard audit processes and terms.
• Knowledge of IT general controls and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track audit activities and responses.
• Serve as liaison between IT, business areas, and audit entities.
• Plan and monitor improvements from audit responses to support process improvement.
• Prepare state and federal audit documentation and presentations.
