Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin oversees complex audits as part of the Office of Inspector General. The Senior Managing Auditor provides strategic direction, technical guidance, and performance oversight to audit teams throughout all phases of the audit lifecycle.

The role coordination includes coaching staff development, evaluating performance, and presenting progress to Audit Directors. This full-time position supports telework eligibility and travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple audit teams simultaneously and ensure high-quality execution.
• Provide day-to-day oversight and direction to Audit Project Managers under the supervision of Audit Directors.
• Represent the OIG Audit and Inspections Division at meetings and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
