Job summary

The Information Technology (IT) Audit Coordinator (Systems Analyst V) at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission coordinates, monitors, and reports on IT audits from internal and external entities. You will assess audit findings, track corrective actions, and communicate with SAO, OIG, and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with large-scale IT projects or audits at a state agency or large organization.
• 2 years’ experience drafting and editing detailed status reports on projects or audits.
• Experience with Information Technology audits and knowledge of IT general controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and tracks audit activities, including assignments, responses to auditor requests, management responses, and corrective action plans.
• Manages audits from internal and external entities, reviews audit findings and recommendations, and reports on corrective actions taken.
• Maintains the status of corrective actions in HHS audit recording systems.
• Serves as a liaison between IT, business areas, internal audit, OIG, and external entities.
• Coordinates communications and information routing for audits and represents HHS IT during audit meetings.
• In collaboration with the IT Audit Coordination Manager, coordinates improvements identified in audit responses.
• Records audit tracking information and ensures deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.
