Job summary

Connection is hiring an IT Asset Manager in a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. You will oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensure accurate records, and drive cost optimization across hardware, software, and licenses.

You will develop processes, maintain databases, and deliver dashboards for leadership while partnering with IT and business teams to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of IT Asset Management experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing staff/resources.
• Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, licensing, and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience developing strategic asset management processes.
• Understanding of software licensing agreements and vendor contracts.
• Knowledge of ITSM processes and best practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware, software, licenses, and contracts with accurate records and compliance.
• Develop and improve IT asset management processes, procedures, and controls.
• Maintain accurate asset databases including lifecycle and configuration information.
• Deliver KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and standardized reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure and business teams on asset trends and optimization.
• Support procurement, budgeting, licensing, and cost-control initiatives.
• Negotiate with vendors to meet service and pricing requirements.
• Document asset management processes and reporting.
• Coordinate with local IT resources to ensure consistent practices across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset utilization and lifecycle management.
