Job summary

RKD Group in Dallas, TX, seeks an IT Asset Manager to own full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, ensure accurate inventory, licensing compliance, and cost-effective procurement.

You will work with IT, finance, and end users to maintain asset program, perform audits, manage vendor contracts, and generate reports for leadership. On-site role in Dallas with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT asset management or a related IT operations role.
• Hands-on experience with IT asset management tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira or similar).
• Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with software license compliance, vendor contracts, and procurement processes.
• Experience conducting physical and virtual asset audits.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive, accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets across the organization.
• Track the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through retirement and disposal.
• Coordinate hardware procurement in collaboration with IT leadership and finance, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
• Process and document equipment assignments, transfers, and returns for onboarding and offboarding employees.
• Develop and enforce IT asset management policies and SOPs.
• Conduct regular physical audits of IT assets to reconcile inventory records.
• Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, including maintenance contracts and renewals.
• Generate and maintain asset management reports and dashboards for IT leadership.
• Oversee the secure and compliant disposal or recycling of retired IT equipment.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to the asset management system and tooling.
• Collaborate with the Help Desk team to ensure timely provisioning and deprovisioning of assets.
• Support budget planning by providing asset cost, lifecycle, and refresh cycle data.
