Job summary

Residing Hope is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to deliver remote and on-site technical support for hardware and software, assist with application integrations, and contribute to projects. The role is full-time and hourly, with hours Monday–Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, located in Enterprise, FL.

The position requires a IT-related bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience, knowledge of Windows networks, databases, and optional web design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and two years’ experience in IT/Applications support or database management preferred; or equivalent combination of training/education/experience.
• Knowledge of Windows-based networks, routers, firewalls, servers, and security software.
• Knowledge in Database development, management and maintenance.
• Knowledge in web design and development, preferred.
• Genuine interest in assisting others with technical problem solving.
• Availability to work long hours during emergencies, maintenance, and at other times as needed.
• Willingness to travel to satellite offices throughout Florida.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity to our target population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install computers, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and resolve equipment and software issues.
• Provide database support to Development and Finance departments; assist with queries and forms.
• Assist in testing new hardware and software prior to implementation.
• Maintain an inventory of all IT systems.
• Assist in management of Lauris Client Management system.
• Provide remote and onsite hardware and software support to satellite offices.
• Keep security fixes and antivirus updates applied.
• Manage radios, phone systems and spectrum devices.
• Assist with Access Control systems management.
• Install and update software and operating systems as needed.
• Provide technology training to end users.
• Participate in quality improvement processes.
• Advise IT Director on equipment upgrades and improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
