Job summary

Washington State Office of the Attorney General is seeking an IT Application Developer – Journey in Tumwater, WA. This permanent, full-time role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining custom software solutions within the Information Services Division.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC/WebForms, JavaScript, and SQL, and will participate in Scrum activities, code reviews, and production support.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of professional experience in one or more IT disciplines: consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, or maintaining computer software applications.
• Associate or higher with years of experience as specified in the three options (6 years or 4 years respectively)
• Bachelor’s or higher in CS/IT with 4 years of professional experience in IT disciplines

Responsibilities

• Provides full-stack software development, design and maintenance for new projects, enhancements, off-the shelf software customizations and software integrations with a variety of technologies including C#, MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, T-SQL, JavaScript and more.
• Learn and implement new coding technologies and techniques.
• Validate new functionality, participate in code reviews, perform testing and quality assurance for custom developed solutions.
• Self-select tasks from a prioritized backlog based on time, capacity, and growth opportunity.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings, sprint reviews, backlog refinement and product demonstrations.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and solve business needs through developing custom software solutions.
• Respond to production failures and provide advanced troubleshooting and debugging to assist customers with custom developed solutions.
