Job summary

The Washington State Office of the Attorney General is seeking an IT Application Developer – Journey in Tumwater, WA. This permanent, full-time role focuses on agile development of mission-critical applications, with ongoing design, development, testing and maintenance of software solutions across multiple projects.

The position requires strong skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC/WebForms, JavaScript/HTML/CSS and SQL/Transact-SQL, along with several years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of professional experience in IT disciplines: consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, or maintaining computer software applications.
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and six (6) years of professional experience in IT disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or IT and four (4) years of professional experience in IT disciplines.
• Provide proof of at least two years’ experience in the past four years and demonstrate proficiency with C#, ASP.NET MVC/WebForms, JavaScript/HTML/CSS and SQL/Transact-SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-stack software development, design and maintenance for new projects and integrations.
• Learn and implement new coding technologies and techniques.
• Validate functionality, participate in code reviews, testing and QA.
• Select tasks from backlog based on priority, time and growth opportunities.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint reviews and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Respond to production issues with advanced troubleshooting for custom solutions.
