Job summary

Virtual Service Operations in Lorton, Virginia is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Level 3 to support DoD information systems in classified environments. You will work with ISSM, engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure RMF/JSIG compliance, perform security assessments, and maintain ATO readiness.

The role requires coordinating security controls, conducting vulnerability management with ACAS/Splunk, and ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity, information assurance, or security experience.
• Experience supporting SAP/SCI or classified environments.
• Strong knowledge of JSIG, RMF, and DoD security policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist ISSM and assume ISSM duties in their absence.
• Maintain SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, SARs, and continuous monitoring plans.
• Monitor vulnerabilities with ACAS and Splunk; track remediation efforts.
• Ensure security controls align with baselines and authorization packages.
• Coordinate system changes with AO/DAO prior to implementation.
• Provide security guidance to users and administers; support audits and assessments.
