Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in Colorado Springs, CO.

The candidate will maintain the security posture of an information system, coordinating with the ISSM and ISO, and overseeing day-to-day security operations including physical security, incident handling, and training. The role requires 2+ years of related experience, SAP expertise, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• SAP experience required.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance (and polygraph).

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with the security authorization package.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO prior to changes.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected and reviewed.
• Attend required technical and security training.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspections and review system assessment plans.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and help implement countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on security safeguards status.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Conduct security impact analyses for configuration changes.
