General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an IS SO to ensure the operational security posture for an information system, collaborating with the ISSM and ISSO.

The role covers day-to-day security operations, physical security, incident handling, training, and awareness, with a focus on Special Access Programs (SAPs), SCI, and DoD agencies. The ISSO will develop and update authorization documentation, monitor environments, implement configuration management, and assess security

Formación

• Experience implementing DoD security posture for information systems.
• Knowledge of security authorization processes and documentation.
• Ability to work with ISSM/ISO and manage SAP/SCI activities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the ISSM in duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for security compliance.
• Coordinate hardware/software/firmware changes with ISSM/AO/DAO.
• Monitor recovery processes to restore security features.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected/reviewed/documented.
• Attend required technical/security training.
• Execute cyber security portion of self-inspection and provide coordination.
• Identify cyber vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on status of security safeguards.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Conduct security impact analyses for configuration changes.
