Job summary

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Mid-Level ISSO with a Top-Secret clearance to support RMF-based cybersecurity for the DOE/NNSA program across multiple sites including Germantown, MD and Washington, DC.

The role emphasizes authorization activities, risk management, and documentation such as ISSPs and baselines, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and collaborate with NA-IM and NCSA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years in cybersecurity or information security.
• 2+ years with RMF or similar security frameworks.
• Experience developing and maintaining security documentation (ISSPs, risk assessments, baselines).
• Experience with federal agencies (DOE/NNSA/DoD preferred).
• Training toward NNSA/DoD 8140 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage system, application, and hardware authorization documentation (ISSPs, risk assessments, baselines).
• Ensure timely initial and re-authorization activities.
• Prepare and submit authorization packages to ISSM and AO/AODR for review/approval.
• Apply RMF consistently across systems.
