Job summary

KBR in Washington, DC, is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join the National Security Solutions team. This role focuses on monitoring, assessing, and maintaining RMF security controls across large-scale IT programs to protect national security interests.

Candidates should have a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II, and proven ISSO experience; Scrum familiarity and strong communication are also required to collaborate with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6 years of Cyber Security work experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Requires Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Proven ISSO experience across a large-scale enterprise IT program
• Experience with Scrum methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency with Nessus (ACAS), Splunk, STIGS, SCAP tools
• DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE, CAP) required

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, and maintain RMF security controls across systems
• Assist in development and maintenance of RMF documentation and artifacts
• Collaborate with ISSE and engineering teams to implement security controls
• Monitor security posture and ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks
• Review and maintain security documentation and alignment with policies
• Support security authorization and accreditation processes as required
