Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. supports the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Associate, in protecting DoD information systems by conducting cybersecurity research, RMF documentation, and accreditation activities.

The role involves evaluating architectures, processing firewall approvals, and maintaining security records for ongoing compliance and reporting. The candidate will work with the ISSM to implement DoD cybersecurity policies, support CONUS/OCONUS travel as required, and help

Qualifications

• Associates in related field and 3+ years information security experience, or 5+ years information security experience.
• Firewall experience.
• Understanding of RMF, NIST CSF, DoD and service-level policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM by researching and analyzing, and by creating documentation in support of the RMF process.
• Evaluate network architectures for accreditation and certification procedures under DoD guidance.
• Review and process Firewall and Bluecoat Exception Requests.
• Process requests for removable media and maintain accreditation documents.
• Maintain Enterprise Products List (EPL) and Accreditation Library for all approved products and systems.
• Prepare Cross Domain Solutions accreditation documents and report security events.
• Provide IT management support and documentation for ISSM and AO review.
