Job summary

The University is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO). The ISSO will work within a DoD/commercial collaboration to enhance mission readiness by identifying, applying, and scaling cybersecurity technologies across programs.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree in cybersecurity or related field, 8+ years of related experience, NIST RMF exposure, STIGs experience, and DoD 8140/IAT II+ certification on hire.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years relevant cybersecurity experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of directly related experience is required.
• Experience with the NIST RMF process.
• Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) application experience.
• The applicant must meet DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) Compliance: IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date (Security+ CE).
• Familiarity with the DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
• Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
