Job summary

CAE USA is seeking a Traveling Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Lead ISSO in planning, staffing, and managing the RMF program for C17 Training Systems. This role ensures compliance with U.S.

government cybersecurity requirements, performs vulnerability assessments, and maintains accreditation packages. The position requires frequent travel to customer and site locations to ensure consistent security practices and alignment with contractual directives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• U.S. citizens are eligible due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures (NIST, DoD, Air Force).
• Perform required vulnerability and compliance scans using DoD-approved tools.
• Conduct system security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.
• Monitor and enforce controls within MASS and support RMF accreditation.
• Prepare RMF security documentation including SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Provide cybersecurity support for sustainment activities including upgrades and patching.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to integrate cybersecurity into sustainment.
• Manage and respond to system security incidents with proper documentation and mitigation.
