Job summary

CAE Inc. is seeking a Traveling Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Lead ISSO in planning, organizing, and maintaining the RMF program for C-17 training systems.

The role requires frequent travel to customer sites to ensure consistent security practices and compliance with DoD directives. You will manage vulnerability assessments, system Security Plans, and accreditation activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity into sustainment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• U.S. citizenship required due to DoD contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and procedures (NIST, DoD, Air Force).
• Perform vulnerability and compliance scans using DoD-approved tools.
• Maintain RMF security authorization documentation, including SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Provide cybersecurity support for sustainment activities, including upgrades and patches.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to integrate cybersecurity into sustainment workflows.
• Monitor system posture and respond to security incidents; document mitigations.
• Prepare reports on security posture, risks, and audit findings for leadership.
