Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Production Inspector in Romeoville, IL to ensure component parts and finished products meet ISO and production control standards.

You will perform final inspections, train staff on process controls, and prepare findings reports while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves reading drawings, using precision measuring tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reading drawings and schematics to verify part conformance.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers and measurement tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders shipped.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Prepare reports for all findings and enter NCRs as needed.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying the supervisor.
• Write and implement DMI/CII for recurring problems and improvements.
• Maintain and improve control charts for critical processes.
• Ensure a safe, clean working environment and conserve resources.
• Inspect all work before passing to the next operation.
• Document actions with production and quality forms.
• Operate with team members across engineering and production.
