Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Production Inspector to perform final inspection on switches and parts, train staff, and document findings.

The role emphasizes quality conformance to ISO standards and includes NCR handling, process control chart development, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years in manufacturing, and the ability to read drawings, with basic MS Word/Excel and ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring/ladder diagrams.
• Basic MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and a Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on switches and parts being shipped.
• Train production personnel in effective process control methods.
• Prepare reports for all findings and enter NCRs when needed.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notification of Supervisor.
• Create and implement process control charts for critical processes.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment and conserve resources.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
